"I wanted a room for the night and that is what I got. Quite, warm. Booking in was fine as I just handed in the on-line reservation confirmation form (after trying my poor French). I'll be back. Thanks!" (97153135)
Very easy to find from the ferry port. Good location, local to restaraunts and handy for Cite Europe, quiet when the window was closed (and my room faced the station!). I was able to view UK TV and therefore get an idea of traffic conditions to decide my route home. The mattress was a little hard, but that suited me.
The rooms are looking a little tatty. The sink in my room had more cracks than a Liverpudlian stand up comedian! however, everything (most important) was clean. I still can't work out why the toilet rolls are hidden under the sink, any first time visitor must get frustrated. Prices in the bar ensure I have what I need elsewhere. The showers are not for 'large' people.

"I will be back." (108084178)
Price; location; parking; lack of noise;
Bar a little soulless. Long wait to check in due to customer wanting no end of information (not the hotel's fault of course). Rooms quite clean but not 100% so

"this accomodation was well suited to a family of 5, we had two rooms and the doors were next to each other at an angle with another main door to the hall. We were able to leave both bedroom doors open with the main door closed which worked well. It was neat and tidy, nothing fancy but had a nice ensuite and TV. A quiet location but right near the centre of calais and 10 minutes from the big shopping centres. Very easy to walk to local resturants and centre shopping. Will stay again when next in calais. Lots of parking." (97807272)
this accomodation was well suited to a family of 5
Decor was a bit dated and the breakfast for 5 euros was just toast and cereal, a cooked breakfast would have been nice even if we had to pay more.

"Would advise everyone I know to avoid this Hotel, If I had known how dirty it was and the type of clients it attracts I would have used another hotel. With the open bar down stairs it attracts the dross of Calais." (108060513)
Clerk unable to find Reservation. Shower impossible to use, door opened against the toilet, Rooms smelt, hallway smelt, Carpets Filthy and heavily stained, Toilet dirty and stained, Room cold Electrical heating did not work, TV Picture distorted, Very noisy from other guests slamming doors.

"would definitely recommend for a one-night stopover if you only need a bed and shower to break your journey. staff helpful and friendly." (97970498)
for the money it was very good. it served the purpose of a clean bedroom and shower for an overnight stay to break our journey from the eurotunnel to further into france for our holiday. it was also good to have someone at reception late at night when we arrived and we were able to enjoy a welcome nightcap before going to bed.
no bad points really - it was exactly as described and what we expected.

Clean Sheets, TV picked up English Channels, Breakfast was good, friendly staff
The Hotel was tired and looked as if it could do with a face lift, poor carpets, you had to be thin to access the shower, cracks in the basin, garish paint on doorframes, no drawers or anywhere for clothes only 5 coathangers for the three of us.

"Fine for a nights rest before getting the shuttle/tunnel home." (97408207)
Central location, close to town centr restaurants etc. Not far from Tunnel/Ferries. Good buffet breakfast.
Some noise from bar over the road; Rooms looking a little tired. A lick of paint and some maintainance on the fittings, particularly the loose tap in the bathroom, would brighten the place up.

"We just booked for a short stay taking the midnight eurotunnel train. Location wise good, but next time will choose a different hotel for more comfort." (97537358)
old but clean, worth the money we paid.
We booked a triple room, though the upper berth was extremely tight, I would not recommend for three adults to stay in this room

"The hotel is situated in a good area.It was close to the town and a 10 minutes drive to the Eurotunnel. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. I can't really say anything bad about this hotel; however, this hotel should be use only for an overnight stay not for a vacation." (97389168)
The hotel was clean. I like the fact that our room was connected to our children's room. The hotel is a ggod option for those traveling on a budget; however, I won't recommend this hotel for a long stay just for an overnight.
I dislike the fact that they didn't have a kids tv channel to entertain the little ones.

"We didn't expect the hotel to be particularly glamourous, and it's hard to describe it as such, but for the price we were very happy, and for an overnight stop it was very much ideal. Just a shame about the confusion over the payment at the start, which made us fairly suspicious initially." (97128504)
The hotel was good value for money and was generally better than I expected in terms of room facilities. I was also pleased to have access to some English TV channels, though I expect this will soon come to an end due to the UK's decision to start making all of our channels digital-only! We liked the sense of local pride in the bar, which was dedicated to the local football team (we came to watch the team play as the main reason for our visit, so this added to the overall impact of our enjoyment). The barman was friendly and spoke good English, which was useful given our limited grasp of French. The location of the hotel was superb - much nearer to the station than we expected.
The receptionist made life quite confusing for us, given that we spoke only limited French. She took more money from us than was stipulated on our receipt, and returned it to us when we queried the bill, which made the start of our visit fairly unsettling. The bar prices were quite high, but when compared to other local bars, the mark-up wasn't perhaps as unreasonable as you might expect, and I liked the Wilfort beer which I didn't see anywhere else on our trip. However, I could only really afford to drink one glass-full at those prices.

"If you are looking for a double room or even a family of two adults and one small child then the accommodation is fine but for three adults or two adults and one teenager then the room is not really suitable. It would probably be more realistic to use the two rooms which are adjacent to each other which have an adjoining door to the corridor as a family room to enable the family with older children to spreadout and definately be more comfortable. I would recommend the hotel for couples wanting a basic nights stay but not really to families." (97417092)
The accommodation/ bedroom & bathroom was very clean & the staff were helpful
The room was extremely small and even though the room was advertised as a room for 3 adults this was in fact not very practical as the third adult was to sleep in a tiny bunk bed over the top of the head of the double bed.
