standard of rooms and cleanliness was excellent

price is too expensive especially as it didn't include breakfast

"Hotel is in the very centre of town next to the shopping complex. Walking distance to the Barbican area for a good selection of restaurants Car parking is not part of the hotel. A private car park is adjacent. The overnight charge is £5.00 but expires at 8.00am. It is therefore necessary to pay extra at he time of purchasing the ticket to extend this time by a maximum of 4 hours." (97313089)

    Good size rooms/clean/standard facilities

Room at the rear of the hotel was very noisy in the morning

I liked the cleanliness of the hotel, as a whole

I was a bit disappointed with the facilities, other than the bar/restuarant there was nothing to do. Also, I think better planning should have been made for taxis pick ups, pick ups from the rear entrance added money to the meter

    quiet at rear of hotel

"It's well documented that the lack of parking is a problem. I was fortunate enough to use an alternative thanks to a friend, but wouldn't have stayed here otherwise. Because of that fact, I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. The hotel itself is very nice, although room service would be a nice addition." (97945218)

Clean, tidy, well-presented. A very nice room with all I needed for brief stay.

    No parking.

Excellent location and very nicely presented hotel with very good facilities

the parking facilities were very poor, numerous car parks in and around the area but limited opportunities. The staff werent very helpful regarding this matter. The total cost for a 24hr stay was £14

Good, clean and well-proportioned room which was good value for money. Overall a good choice and we would choose this hotel again due to its central location.

Almost impossible to find without taxi on arriving at Plymouth station for first time. Reception staff were friendly but rushed at both check-in and check-out. Bar staff were not customer friendly even though they were much less busy.

"The hotel itself was pretty good but it was expensive and the car parking drove me crazy. The need to keep re-visting to feed the meter at certain times of day is simply not tolerable for long periods of time. It's a pity becuase otherwise it was good and I would stay there more often were it not for this problem." (97805652)

Good location, nice size room, good breakfast

It was expensive and the car parking was a real hassle. The point you to a nearby shoppers car park which has a complex pricing policy which requires to keep re-visting to feed the meter.

"Before booking the hotel room I wish i found out about the hotel facilities for example there being no room service. Apart from this the information leaflet in room was very helpful. Only thing about the hotel room i would say was that it was quite small." (97760640)

It was quiet. Everything was clean.

Hotel rooms quite small. Staff friendly however i felt service was just adequate.

Good size room, very clean and a nice plasma tv.

we put the no disturb tag and we had at 9:00am call by the houskeeping. No good at all and i'm no happy with it. So why do you have them on the door?.

    Clean and comfortable

Totally insufficient insulation from main corridor, both light and sound. Very noisey between 3 and 5am.

Clean and tidy, nice modern inn

Poor service for breakfast, half of TV channels didn't work and a poor selection of tea/coffee in room.

Excellent location, friendly helpful staff and a high level of cleanliness

Car parking was a little awkward as you couldn't pre-pay for a day / night in advance and so kept having to return to your car.

"Generally I thought it was a nice hotel to stay in and staff were pleasant and helpful. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner - someone had clearly shaved over the sink before I used the room - this hadn't been cleaned very well. I thought the breakfast was dull and lacked imagination - I try to eat a reasonably healthy diet - this wasn't easy with very sweet meusli, white bread and so on... But the quality of food itself was OK." (97781606)

A very bright and cheerful feel to the place. Room decor was nice and facilities all worked well.

bathroom/toilet could have been a little cleaner. Breakfast a little dull and not much in the way of healthy eating options

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay and found the staff efficient and helpful We especially liked the ice machines.

We were very disappointed with breakfast We the standard let down the rest of the hotel. Maybe it is not expected but compared to cheaper hotels in europe it was not very good.

  • 10/10 William (Group of adult friends)

Very clean and tidy rooms, hotel staff were very pleasant and didn't mind a large same sex group staying in their hotel when some might have objected.

Parking is a problem as the hotel doesn't have it's own. Maybe a deal with a car park firm could be arranged?

  • 8/10 Elizabeth (Young couple)

"Despite the inexperience of the staff they were still helpful and friendly. Other than that, the room and hotel were really nice with the location being excellent for the town centre. The only other negative is no parking but there is a car park at the side which charges £4 per day." (97715743)

location. Its about a 2 minute walk to the town centre, 5 minutes to barbican and the town centre pubs.

as the hotel has only just opened a lot of the staff were not very experienced and didnt really know what they were doing.

"The heating is combined with the air conditioning. It is not satisfactory as this can also cause the air in the room to be full of recycled bacteria from the air conditioning unit making a very unhealthy environment, which could eventually cause irreversible pollution. The carpet cannot be cleaned of this as neither hoovering nor shampooing will extract the microscopic dirt, nor will the air filter in the air conditioning unit fully stop this." (97620855)

The room was well cleaned with clean towels.

The bathroom has an extractor fan running day and night. This expels bacteria continually through the bathroom and bedroom. These bacteria then reside in the carpet causing a stuffy head and clogged nose in the morning.
