"Hotel is in an ideal location. We booked an upgraded room but the only benefit was a DVD machine! The bar area is nice and they have a great guest services room free internet etc. The breakfast was very slow due to everything being cooked to order but the food it's self was very good. Would'nt stay again down to the cost of the hotel." (97962206)
Great location
Room was best described as ok. The bathroom could have been cleaner and the checking in at reception was slow.

"Please note the we did not book this stay on the Brooks website, as we could get the accomadation cheaper on an alternative site." (97332289)
Hotel has a nice atmosphere, we have stayed in the hotel many tines before and will return again.
One dislke we have and have had on other occassions in the hotel is The the bar staff are extremely slow and not particularly friendly in comparison withe the rest of the hotel staff.

"Excellent hotel with friendly, helpful staff, wonderful food and clean comfortable and good sized rooms. Easy to get to any where in the city. Would certainly re-use if in Dublin again." (97337836)
Night time noise from street , may be due to being on 1st floor, would benefit from double glazing. Or should have had higher floor accomodation.

"Short but enjoyable stay clouded by the hotels inability to change a travellers cheque, I shall know next time. I would recommend this hotel and stay again despite the above issue." (97255864)
I have stayed at Brooks before and find it very comfortable and convenient.
Brooks must be the only hotel i have ever stayed in where they refuse to change travellers cheques, i had to catch a tram as i didn't have enough cash for a taxi.

"My friend & I chose Dublin to spend our Christmas break. It was definitely a good choice of hotel, very well located in the city centre. We enjoyed our stay, especially Christmas Lunch in the restaurant. Very well organised and food was excellent. Compliments to the Chef. Staff were lovely as well. Would like to visit again." "Excellent for carparking and central for shopping and just 5 mins walk to temple bar. Staff very helpful anf friendly. Breakfast was lovely with an extensive range of food. Refurbishment taking place upstairs but unobtrusive. Deluxe room was spacious. Carpet could do with being replaced.(Maybe that will be part of the refurb) Other furnishings and decor were nice. I would prefer a duvet to the out dated blankets. Very good value for the rate on the night we stayed." (97181853)

Lovely Hotel, and staff, Lovely food . .. but . . see below . . .
My Husband (In the restaurant) had a VERY small fillet of fish which would not fill a child, and the vegetables were extra, which we expected as all part of the meal. My Lamb was also very nice, but the vegetables, I think should be part of the meal, rather than an extra.

"Having stayed in many Dublin hotels previously, I was aware that they do not come cheap, but at least with this one you felt like you got your money's worth. Lovely hotel with warm and friendly staff in excellent location - just 5 minutes walk from Grafton Street and Temple Bar. The rooms were lovely and comfortable and the breakfast was superb. The only negative was the noise outside during the night, but I suppose that's the price you pay for being in the city centre. Overall - fantastic and we would definitely stay again." (99293013)
Lovely hotel. Comfortable rooms. Excellent location. Wonderful service. Fantastic breakfast.
Was on what appeared to be a quiet street, but it came to life after midnight, and there was a lot of noise from outside until about 3am.

Having long hair, the second hairdryer (power) in the room was very welcome. The TV-sound was connected to the bathroom (never thought this would be so agreable)! Room was very clean. Staff very pleasant.
Not possible to open the window at night, due to surrounding noise (cafés, air-conditioningmachinery in the surroundings).

"Hotel served all the needs and requirements I had. The staff were attentive, polite and obliging and worthy of the rating. Room was exactly as described without any surprises." (99831293)
relaxed, comfortable and quiet but central
During the evening the staff called at the door of the room to turn down the bed 3 times and asked if they could. It would be better if they automatically defer if the client is still in the room. This is a minor point and they were polite.

"Overall hotel to be recommended. Excellent location, small, friendly, comfortable etc. The breakfasts are delicious with much to choose from cooked to continental and the unforgettable fresh bread!" (3305450933)
personal touches like turn down service in the evening, tasteful decorations, professionalism of staff, excellent breakfasts
My room was on the first floor just above the kitchen at the back of the hotel - probably because I had asked for a smoking room - which meant quite noisy and kitchen odours to mingle with tobacco smoke! The kettle still had water from the previous guest(s) which was rather off putting (smell)!

"Overall this hotel was lovely and charming -- much old-fashioned detail. The location really cannot be beaten; we walked easily to Grafton St, to Trinity, to St. Stephen's Green. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful and smart. There are many restaurants in the area, although most of these are not very good. Our request for a non-smoking room was honored; we were upgraded on arrival to a superior room, although this was in the back looking out over an ugly street/noisy A/C unit. With the window closed, the noise did not bother us. The full bath was very nice, not cramped in the usual way. There was maid service twice a day. The only downside was the internet access; we have two laptops and had to buy separate connections for each one, which then did not work properly during our entire stay." (3304228380)
Room pleasant and comfortable; good climate control; nice bath; comfortable bed; reasonable phone rates; incredibly nice and helpful staff. Dinner restaurant good though expensive. Terrific location.
Expensive broadband wireless connection did not work reliably, a major hassle for us. Our room looked out onto an ugly industrial back street and a noisy industrial A/C unit, so we had to keep the window closed.

"We arrived later in the evening, but the staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The concierge was very helpful in recommending things to do and politely arranged taxis for our friends even though they were staying elsewhere. We had the best gin and tonics ever and some wonderful truffle fries in the bar and the breakfast was great as well. I will stay in this hotel any time I am in Dublin if I can get a room because it could not have been more convenient. Next time we will also eat in the restaurant as the menu looked wonderful. We walked everywhere and there were so many pubs and restaurants that we had a real choice for eating and shopping." (3304495332)
We had a lovely room in the back so it was very quiet and we were high enough up to have a view of the city line. We liked having a choice of pillows and how clean everything was.
Nothing to dislike.

"We were very pleased with our choice of the Brooks Hotel for our stay in Dublin. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and since we don't mind walking a bit, the location was very convenient to the major shopping/tourist areas and still quiet at night. The room was scrupulously clean, as were all the common areas. For those who prefer to stay just outside the very busy Temple Bar area, I would recommend the Brooks Hotel, and we'd stay there again in a heartbeat should our travels find us in Dublin again." (2890037)
The Brooks Hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff friendly and the location convenient.
Not a major issue, but the view out of our window was of a parking garage. But it did make for a very quiet night's sleep!

Staff friendly and welcoming. Was upgraded, so that was a bonus. Room clean, service good, bed was even made even though we were due to check out.

"I enjoyed my Dublin break and would certainly stay at this hotel again. I found the on-line booking process somewhat misleading as I booked on a bed and breakfast basis but found that breakfast was not included. On check-out nor was it included in the price!! The accommodation was of a good standard, the staff were very enthusiastic and the restaurant itself proved more than satisfactory. The room service meal however was very disappointing with an extremely limp mixed leaf salad. That said, I would stay here again." (2923193)

"The hotel is perfectly situated, just away from Temple Bar, where you don't want to stay unless you are already up at 4.oo am. We were woken one night at 3.00am by a club disgorging its customers, but it wasn't too bad & the crowds quickly dispersed. The staff were really pleasant and helpful - they sent someone out to buy a Sunday paper for us when we forgot to order one the night before. The hotel is smart and has high standards of food and service, but it remains relaxed and unpretentious. We loved Dublin and will definately return (God willing), and we will stay here again. We felt it was good value for money. If you like the Hotel du Vin hotels, you'll like Brooks Hotel, which is the same vibe but friendlier." (2826082)
Friendly and helpful staff. Unpretentious atmosphere, but still high standards and smart.
Room was slightly small, but pleasantly furnished. Very confortable beds.
