"Both my husband and I travel all over the world for both business and pleasure and found that the staff at the hotel were very friendly. We stayed at the hotel as we were meeting work collegues for dinner and arrived back at the hotel after midnight, the night porter was one of the most proffesion and friendly members of staff we have ever met during a stay at a british hotel (something you only get when travelling abroad) - he is to be commended as were all the staff. We would definatly recommend and stay here again. The breakfast was good and the room spacious and clean." (97939192)
Our stay at the Swan was very good, and the staff really professional and friendly.
The shower could have worked better, but it would not put us off staying again.

"One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in, would definately recommened it to anyone. I would have liked to have known that it was on the main high street so we could have found it better, i dont think the fact it was on the high street would have deterred me from going." (99859172)
Rooms were lovely, clean and well decorated. The bathroom was gorgeous, spacious and well-looked after. We were only staying for the one night but found everything we needed in the hotel, the restaurant was amazing as was the bar and we had so much help from the staff as they assisted us in booking a restaurant table and with our bags.
The room was slightly dingy as our room faced a brick wall, some of the television channels did not work.

"Thoroughly enjoyable, staff were friendly and the facilities were very good and very central to town." (99788493)
The room and ensuite was nicely furnished and very comfortable.
There wasn't an appropriate electrical point to boil the kettle, it had to be placed on the floor infront of the ensuite door that wasn't ideal also the floor boards creaked quite a bit.

"The location was great, being on the high street gave us good access to the town and to other areas. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious with a nice view of the church. The food in the restaurant was lovely with good prices." (99984233)
The hotel room was very clean and the service was very good.
There was nothing I disliked, I was very happy with my stay but if I have to write something, the check out time was 10:00 which made the morning a rush.

"The hotel is well situated in the town and is full of character, rooms are well equipped, warm and comfortable. The food selection was good, we particularly liked the seating areas in the courtyard and central aisled bar. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our visit an overall pleasure." (97662497)
Centrally located hotel with much character, well served with friendly and efficient staff.
Car parking difficult on busy days and you have to get a permit from reception to avoid penalties.

The hotel was beutifully presented and the staff were very polite, the room was spacious and very clean.
was a little surprised by the location and it was difficult to find as in the main town centre on a pedestrian walkway and the instructions didnt mention this.

Location, location, location, right in the heart of stafford with easy access to all major roads... ready to explore!
I thought that sometimes staff were very unhelpful... and the fact that we arrived late at night and had to take all our luggage through the packed bar to get to the reception desk.

"Like i say, The Swan is THE place to stay if visiting Stafford, ideally positioned in the town centre, free car parking - you need a permit from the desk. Superb friendly and helpful staff, fabulous food, good sized room, very clean, very, very comfy bed. I didn't want to leave and would love to go back. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough and i am quite a fussy person too!" (99934238)
the bed was incredibly comfy, bathroom was gleaming it was so clean, teddy on the bed was a nice touch! all the staff were extremely friendly and polite, and the food was fantastic! i have stayed in a fair few hotels and this has been the best yet, would most definitely stay again.
Hard to think of anything, but maybe they could oil the hinges on the doors, we had squeaky doors near our room, i woke a few times because of them.

"Extremely well located and convenient hotel to stay whilst in the area. The food was excellent and the bedroom accomodation was tastefully furnished with generously porportioned rooms. On site free parking was a bonus." (3305234490)
The room was very spacious and well furnished with taste it was well located in the town and convenient for our visit and had free parking
The bathroom bath side kept disconnecting from its fixing and there were areas of mould growth on the tile grout which I always think looks off putting

All the staff extremly friendly room very clean
The fact that when we returned to the hotel around ten o clock we were told the bar was operating a one out one in policy so we either went back out for a drink or back to our room. A private lounge for guests could be available.

"From the outside the hotel appears to be a medicore pub. Once inside it is more than worthy of three stars. Although compact, it is modern and convient for all Stafford's amenitites. The staff were courteous and ultra efficient. The room was of a high specific and everything was catered for. The hotel itself has a buzzing bar full of a young trendy local crowd...but don't worry this closes at 11pm so you can get some sleep. The town is beautiful, nice and clean and their is plenty of nightlife if you want to carry on partying." (3304619996)

"One of the best hotels I have stayed in outside of Chester and Manchester. Most small towns do not have the class of hotel as The Swan. As an American that spends 6-8 weeks a year conducting business in the UK, my only regret is that I do not come to this rural area of England very often." (3304344579)

"Generally a great place to stay. Would have like to known that there was broadband available in the hotel rooms. Directions and map on the hotel website are not easy to follow, which resulted in us driving around town for 30 minutes, needless to say they require a better map on the website." (2778396)
Clean, very good size room, well appointed.
Better double or triple glazing to windows to reduce noise from late night drinkers going home.
