"Nice hotel with a pleasant atmosphere generally." (107883385)

Good location, adjacent tube station close to Kensington Gardens, Albert Hall etc Very handy for Heathrow, Paddington is only 4 stops away and Gatwick via Victoriajust 3 stops away. Bedroom and bathroom a good size, bed comfortable. Staff pleasant.

I don't believe thump thump thump music is appropriate in a hotel bar at any time of day. This music seems to be for the enjoyment of the staff only or gives the impression that it is playing and no-one knows why. Range of beers is minimal.

Very pleasant staff and beautiful room

Shower head was broken and TV constantly froze up. The smoke alarm went off early in the morning.

"Other than the delay in the reservations department procedures it was an excellent stay." (107153814)

    Excellent hotel

Communication from the reservations department was very poor. The room had been booked for a week on a business credit card yet we did not receive a third party booking form and then had to request one when the guest had booked in and reception had took their personal credit card. We then had to wait an hour and a half for the form once it was requested and had to provide scanned images of the credit card used causing the card holder much disruption as he is based at a different site.

"Very good. Good value for money, centrally located, staff were very patient with my 4 year old son" (108094895)

Friendly staff, good value for money, clean and spacious room

All small points: room a bit noisy because of squeeky floorboards and large fan in courtyard. Curry smell on 4th floor when you get out of lift. I don't understand why English plumbing has separate hot and cold taps - hot water is too hot to put one's hands under

    "Great location! " (108094165)

Fantastic location, right next to the Gloucester St. Tube!

Concierge serice needs to be friendlier as does the person checking in guests. There was a bit of an "attitude" with them. Room is a bit on the frumpy side.

"obviously the bad points were off putting esp the mattress, although we were given a ten percent discount because of this we did feel that it is essential for a good hotel to have a good quality mattress and the discount could have been more generous but it was handled very swiftly.Apart from that it was a pleasant stay in a busy hotel that was much bigger than we had anticipated." (108026141)

location, spacious room with air conditioning, clean, speedy reception, the room was nice and quiet

The lovely big tv kept losing its signal or pausing. The mattress was terrible as it dipped in the middle and springs stuck into you.

"The bedding was excellent and the room comfort exceptional. I was given clear instructions where to get breakfast etc. The concierge were extremely helpful and gave me excellent information regarding the tube and taxis. The room, although spacious did have very creaking floorboards which was a little annoying. The general decor was good but if I am going to knit pick, the room could have done with a makeover as it was very slightly dated and 'musty' Overall, a good experience and would highly recommend this to a fellow colleague." (97622368)

large spacious room with excellent room facilities

Creaking floorboards and low shower pressure

"A very nice location with easy access to central london. Bearing in mind where it is located it was extremely quiet and peaceful. Many good restaurants locally in addition to those that form part of this hotel and its' sister hotel next door. Convenient for travel, being directly opposite Gloucester Road tube station, only a few stops from Harrods. Within walking distance of the Natural History Museum." (99811867)

For somewhere so central it was amazingly quiet and peaceful

Extremely hot and the air conditioning wasn't very effective

Great location, friendly staff (during peak period and problem with our room), large room for London (once we switched rooms), decent price/value for that part of London.

Our first room was small, layed out poorly and dirty.

"I missed a space where I could have a fast look at my mails; I did not like the lady at the check-in, she was porposing a nice, big room and the room was incredibly small (no place for luggage, the sink was so small that I could not wash my teeth). The second lady I met, Marta, was very kind, she proposed me a very beautiful room that I really enjoyed. The rooms were both cleaned and ordered." (97196896)

I had two diffrent rooms; my evaluation differ enourmously between the two rooms; the first one was TOO small, the second one very nice and confortable. The same holds for the staff, most of them were nice with the exception of the lady at check-in

"Enjoyed our stay and we were very impressed by the staffs friendly and helpful attitude. The hotel itself was well maintained and very clean. There was some damage to the furniture in the room, broken hinges on TV cabinet but other than that the room was also nicely sized and well maintained. All in all we'd definately stop again, 8 out of 10 for the hotel 10 out of 10 for the staff." (1440661)
