"nice hotel little disappointed with room" (107608957)

lovely modern comfy bar lobby toilets

room carpet was dirty and bathroom old fashioned and a little grotty

"overall enjoyed the stay and did not complain at hotel as it was convenient for my needs but some things could have been better." (107235132)

really comfy beds slept like a log. staff friendly and helpful.nice views from room and resteraunt.

accomodation a little dated, not worth the money, broken cupboards in room meals not fabulous, room service meal was a bit cold. special "pre match" meal nice but not value for money. if you didn't like indian food not much choice especially for kids. very small bar area, understaffed.

"We enjoyed our weekend, and the staff were great." (107154325)

The hotel was a very good location and had a friendly atmosphere. The staff were polite and friendly. The hotel overall was a nice place to stay.

I would describe the room as very basic for the price payed. Having been down stairs in the hotel previously to meet friends for food, I expected the same quality throughout the rooms. The room was in all ways satisfactory but basic,i was expecting more. Maybe i just got a poor room!.

Cleanliness. Good quality fixtures and fittings. Good location.

Windows need to open further or air-con should be provided. Seating area next to the quay could do with sheltering facilities for smokers. Mini-bar not fully stocked.

"The staff attitude was complacent and perfunctory. - No eye contact or smiles. This made us feel quite unwelcome. This hotel is left standing by some of the recent budget hotels nearby at a fraction of the cost. The £230 per night rack rate is a complete joke and the provision of leisure facilities at the local YMCA, for which you have to pay questions how this hotel could possibly have a 4* rating. The bathroom was tired, the tiles were dirty and the tap washers needed replacement. - All fur coat and no knickers." (107175675)

Good parking and relatively easy to find.

Decor and ambience stuck in the 1980s.

"The hotel was selected on the criteria of location above all else, but our stay was so pleasant that we would consider the same hotel if we were to return to the general area." (97836837)

All of the staff were very polite and helpfull, the rooms were well cleaned, and every effort was made to make us feel welcome.

I can think of nothing negative to say about the hotel or our stay.

Have previously booked hotels online with other services and paid in advance - assumed wrongly having given credit card details the same applied with yourselves and hotel was prepaid. Hotel manager not very helpful regards sorting it out - had contingency money packed in suitcase, but manager wouldn't allow anywhere private to unpack case to get to money. Had to do it in middle of reception. " (108053396)

Really nice friendly staff. Loved the bar, the sofa's and the flat screen tv and the rooms were nice and comfy, spacious etc and they had all the Sky Sports channels!!!! Also extremely handy for a United fan like me!!!!

Could do with air conditioned rooms on hot and humid days.........it was too hot at night!!!!

Friendly and attentive service. Room well maintained. Hotel location excellent for the local event that we attended and city centre metro link.

Disappointed by the "excessive" charge of 15.75 for a full english breakfast, decided instead to make other arrangements. Service in the bar during busy times was extremely slow.

Comfortable bed, even though our room faced onto the main road it was still very quiet. Good working shower.

Lack of toiletries. Room/hotel was too warm and would benefit from air conditioning. Light over the dressing table was not working. Expensive prices at the bar -

The directions from the website were good and easy to follow. All the web-provided information about what was included were clear and accurate. This is the second hotel at Salford Quays that I have stayed in and certainly the better value and more comfortable." (97169408)

"Overall we were very happy with all aspects of the hotel. The staff were polite and helpful and the amenities were as described on the website. The close proximity to public transport (for an out of town venue) was a real bonus. The only negative was the noise from the building site next door - they appear to start quite early in the morning!" (97830665)

Room was clean, bright and cheerfull with very pleasant outlook. Bed was extremely comfortable.

While appreciating that, for safety reasons, the windows do not fully open the room felt a little claustraphobic. We felt that the windows should be able to open further.
