"Very pleasant and quite relaxing - the intention of the visit" (108000061)

Service of staff at breakfast; in particular young lady named Nanna Good response when problem arose with in-room television set.

Non-locking catch on Bedroom (Fire Escape) Window [Security Risk] Overall Room Temperature (too hot with little opportunity to control apart from open window)

Staff friendly. Good pool facilities. Rooms clean and to a good standard. Breakfast excellent, plenty of choice.

Bed not terrificly comfy. Drainpipe outside window of our room possibly in need of repair, as it rains, water pours down against the outside window.

"Adequate to just get away but had a very old feel to the hotel rooms. " (108095827)

I objected to be asked to pay at check in. It removes my right to not pay for poor service. The pool area was unclean. The cooked breakfast was the poorest quality.

    Cleanliness,TV,tea & coffee making facilities in room,location.

I ordered a lager at dinner and the waiter never brought it.

Carparking is a bit tight at peak periods. Food was a bit bland

"Generally good, apart from the above, and we would come back - but not during periods when heating is needed." (107844993)

First class breakfast, when they were very busy too.

Inadequate lighting in bedroom. Heating off for too much of the time. By all means 'save the world' but how about less heat for longer? And not at 4 45am, when I had to switch it off. Do you still have the flimsy bit of paper for key collection etc if you stay longer a week or a fortnight? I doubt it would survive the experience.

"Great location, nice hotel, but be prepared to: park miles away (the hotel car park is tiny and the surrounding streets are jam-packed with cars) take ear plugs (to block out the inevitable drunken behaviour and fights that accompany your average English wedding party) take your own breakfast - if you have a deadline (as we did), you won't get any as it seems to be served whenever the staff feel like it. " (97406546)

Nice hotel, great location, close to beautiful Alum Chine beach, decent food in restaurant.

Parking - there isn't any! Wedding party on while we were there with fights and drunken behaviour until the early hours of the morning. Staff didn't seem able/keen to intervene. Breakfast not served at 7.45 as stated in the hotel booklet - when we asked how long it would be, we were told in an airy manner that it would be another "five or ten minutes". As this is a £100 a night hotel (and we were sailing from Southampton at 10am, hence the urgency), we were less than impressed.

"Not a service-oriented hotel. Despite there being only 6 other guests at breakfast, I waited 10 mins to be seated because no staff wre present in the dining room. After a further 15 mins, I was served the wrong breakfast. I ran out of time and left. Overall, this hotel may appeal to retired visitors to Bournemouth but certainly not to business travellers." "As there was a large party of guest for a weekend. Their evening entertainment on the first night carried up to the 1st floor room. This was so loud that we were able to hear everrthing free of charge!! The room was very narrow and although clean and functional did not provide a lasting impression. The cost of the room did not reflect the furnishings. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and did make the weekend pleasurable." (97326740)

    Clean

    Compacct, old fashioned, not soundproof

Room spotless and had fantastic views of Alum Chine beach. Very peaceful and beautiful location (no stag or hen parties here!). Friendly, welcoming atmosphere, staff really helpful. Only gripe: car park should be bigger." (97108890)

Spotless room, friendly, helpful staff, fantastic sea views, excellent value for money, good restaurant, nice atmosphere, swimming pool.

Car park should probably be bigger (although doubt if space on site allows).

"We had a good stay, just overnight but wished we could have stayed longer. Enjoyed a quick swim in the indoor pool which was a bonus. Breakfast was good, buffet style fruit and cereals with rest cooked to order which we preferred as it arrived hot. Good choice with alternative to fried. The hairdryer in the room was one of those awkward ones where you have to keep the switch held in all the time it is in use. Quite painful if you have arthritis or similar in your hand as I did. Car parking not that easy as hotel car park too small for number of rooms and off street parking quite busy. Overall though the stay was great, we did have an on-line discount which made it better value for money than if we had paid full price." (99305734)

Spacious room, very clean and comfortable. We asked for a quiet non smoking room which the hotel provided.

"Overall I would stay again as the hotel was busy but not noisy the staff always tried to please. As a lecturer in food and health & safety I did spot several infingements I took pictures for use in my lecturs but did not complain as I was staying a guest not carrying out an audit. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in for a long while and I will stay there again, I am thinking of taking my wife down for the weekend as it is a great part of the country." (99889029)

It was clean and a working space was available for the laptop. The staff were friendly but business like as they should be.

Breakfast started far to late at 7.45. but the staff did find me some coffee and toast and equired if I would be staying a further night as they would organise a better breakfast the next morning, I declined the offer as I know the extra amount of work that has to go into starting the kitchen 45 minutes early for one guest, but I appreciated the offer.

Very clean room & the bathroom was spotless.. Breakfast was a good choice of food & very well cooked & quickly delivered. Staff very friendly.

We had to walk through the dining hall to get to our room-bit badly. There was some parking to the front & rear but at busy times was not really enough.

"The disable room was bath/shower not shower only. We were therefore accommodated in the family room which had a shower but with no disable facilities and the shower was very poor. A disable room with a wheel-in shower should be available, because the rest of the hotel is good for wheelchair disabled people." (99119141)

    Adequate

    Poor shower

Room spacious and clean - well equipped. Ensuite facilities clean and bright. Pool and jacuzzi lovely and open at convenient times i.e. before breakfast! Short walk to beach and promenade

As the hotel got busier, it was a problem finding a parking space, but we did go at Easter which is a fairly busy time.

"a little disapointing. training and customer service needs to be polished. the food in general was short of the mark in consideration of the price of hotel for the weekend." (97510369)

pool sauna and jacuzzi were lovely facilities. the location was great.

the food- we ordered a meal in the bar at 8:45 and bar service finished at 9pm. we had a lagsagne and steak baguette. the lagsagne was rancid/it was bordering on unedible. breakfast was very slap dash. the waiters/waitresses were not particulartly polite. the hotel itself needs to polish up on customer service.

Maybe?? more entertainment in evening to make me stay in the bar and buy drinks I did not like the wine in tiny one glass bottles even in the bar. An awful lot of sediment in my bottle I had with my meal" (99156650)

Cleanliness and value for money. Bright /cheery room

The bathroom was small/very narrow and would have been better with a shower rather than a bath. Bath was high to step in and out of

shower could have been hotter. Quite a long walk from Bournemouth's town centre.
