    Excellent value ... good size room .. well located

    We stayed in a twin room .. both beds had old mattrasses .. both were very soft and squeeky. They were very uncomfortable and we could both feel the mattrass springs .Neither of us got much sleep

    Pleasant helpful staff, good carvery and breakfast

    Very noisy radiators, sound from kitchens at night, and Stoke City supporters outside at 1-2pm, scalding hot water. Towels had a smokey smell.

    reception woman cheerfully accommodated my request to change room. Good meal in restaurant, attentive wait staff. rooms clean and good size.

    event tho no smoking applies, on entering room, smelled as tho someone had smoked. Not unbearable but noticeable

    The hotel was very clean and the staff were super friendly. The rooms are spacious and the beds extremely comfortable.

    Booking was easy & reception good . Staff were ok with the exception of the lad on the bar who was really great , friendly , chatty and took the mick taking from other guests in his stride - A really nice lad

    Room was a bit dated and carpet stained but was acceptable for the price paid

    The room had a bad smell to it. We had a family room with an extra bed which as a couple is unromantic! The bathroom was in a dreadful state, mould on the tiles and the floor seemed to be rotten. The breakfast was stone cold and dripping with fat.

    Room had all the basic requirements and in nice quiet postition away from Hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location for seeing the area. Restaurant food was fabulous for a great price, wine only £10 a bottle!

    Hotel could do with decor updating. No extras in rooms or room service. Staircase and landings needed cleaning.

    Staff was helpful and friendly, restaurant food was good but not adequately staffed.

    Could feel every spring in the mattress. Wasn't expecting luxury quality for the price, but the beds were barely serviceable.

    Shower didn't work, remote for telly didn't work. Had to walk into the bar and wait to ask someone to come and check us in.

    The hotel was one of the cheapest in the area surrounding alton towers. You basically got what you paid for. Breakfast was lovely.

    Hotel shower curtain was full of mould but that was about it in the way of cleanliness. The other thing was that when we got there they weren't opening the restaurant but the bar was open. All you want to do is get fed and go to sleep after a day at alton towers.

    The room we had was much better than we thought it was going to be for the price. The staff were extremely friendly, especially to our children, supplying crayons on our arrival why we ordered an evening meal, and again in the morning after a really good choice of breakfast, they let the children have some sweets for later. The room was plenty big enough for us all. A doulble bed and bunk beds, tv, drnks, large wardrobe, full length mirror, hairdryer, shower and bath etc.. It was an excellant b/b motel/pub restaurant(with evening entertainment)

    "Motel was very easy to find, staff excellent, friendly and very helful. Full english was hot and filling, Rooms on par with most other hotels we have visited but could do with a lick of paint. A previous review thought it was a bit sixties / seventies style.     "I only stayed for one night and the accomadation was a little on the worn side - nothing that could not be rectified with a re-decoration and more observation from the claening staff. The area of the hotel - although dull- was fairly central and the staff were polite and this applies especially to the duty manager." (97299019)

    Good location for my needs and the duty manager very friendly and attentive.

    Rooms need redecorating and the room cleaners had not spotted rubbish under the bunk bed in my room and the wall on the bath side and the vent on that wall needed to be cleaned more regularly. The carpet was badly stained and a small niggle in that no spoons were provided with the gratis tea and coffee.
